Distinguished hairstylist Dvir Haveshush began his passionate endeavors with hair 20 years ago. As a high school student in Tel Aviv, Israel, he first began to formally study and practice his profession. He then spent some time honing his skills at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London before journeying to South Africa in the '90s to launch his career. After mastering techniques in Johannesburg, Dvir returned to Tel Aviv for a short while before making his way to New York in 1999.
Dvir spent several years styling hair across New York City before settling down in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. The original Dvir Salon opened its doors in March 2006 and after a few successful years the Salon was expanded and redesigned in July 2009.
He continues to master new skills and techniques, keeping up with the latest trends and styles in cuts and color. Dvir loves what he does and continues to practice his craft with the zeal and vigor of that teenage boy first discovering his lifelong dream, over 20 years ago.
Raised in Aichi, Japan, Naho quickly began her days in a salon setting while just a young high school student. Immediately after graduating, she attended cosmetology school and began working full time in a salon in Nagoya. It was here where Naho began styling brides and bridesmaids for weddings - sparking an interest not only with hair, but make-up as well.
Always having the desire to see the world, Naho made her way through Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Australia and Italy to name a few - until finally making it to the states and falling in love with New York. After earning her certification in make up design in 2006 she soon after became a full time stylist for Dvir Salon.
Some of Naho's outside work has been seen in magazine ads and fashion shows across the city. It was however, Dvir Salon where she learned English best and was able to build relationships with each of her clients. It's because of these important relationships that Naho prefers the warmer, more personal atmosphere of the salon over the shoots.
Naho continues styling her clients for weddings and big events. If you don't find Naho in the salon, you may catch her riding her bike or running around Prospect Park.
Hailing from Western Mass, Jill has been practicing her craft in New York for over a decade, and has been a proud member of the Dvir Salon family since 2009.
A background in theatre has made her well-versed in special occasion hair and period styles, while her punk-rock roots have given her a flair for edgy cuts and fantasy colors.
She has trained at the Redken Exchange NYC, and with Schwartzkopf Professional, and has worked on various stage productions, music videos, and photo shoots.
Jill’s favorite part of being a stylist is not just making people look great, but making them laugh a little in the process. She loves sharing vegetarian recipes, gardening tips, and pictures of her cat.
